John first joined Summit Partners in 1993 as an Associate. Today, as a Managing Director, he focuses primarily on business services and tech-enabled services opportunities.
John has served as a board director for many companies. He is currently a director of FineLine Technologies. His prior investments and directorships include Associa, Blue Ocean Software (acquired by Intuit), Clinical Pathology Laboratories (acquired by Sonic Healthcare), Continuum (acquired by Thoma Bravo), FleetCor Technologies (NYSE: FLT), Fortegra Financial (NYSE: FRF, later acquired by Tiptree Financial), HelpSystems (acquired by H.I.G. Capital), Innov-X Systems (acquired by Olympus Corporation), Masternaut, Solid State Equipment (acquired by Veeco Instruments), Sybari Software (acquired by Microsoft) and Systems Maintenance Services (acquired by Partners Group).
John joined Summit Partners in 1993 from BayBank. While attending business school, John worked for Bain & Company and then rejoined Summit in 1998.
John holds an AB in economics, cum laude, from Dartmouth College and a Masters in Management, with Distinction, from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
