As an Executive-in-Residence at Summit Partners, Greg Serrao works closely with the Summit team to invest in innovative, high-growth healthcare services and healthcare technology businesses.
Greg joins Summit from American Dental Partners, Inc. (“ADPI”), a company he founded together with Summit in 1996. Greg served as ADPI’s CEO from 1996 until 2015, and under his direction, the company scaled rapidly, completing an IPO in 1998. Today, American Dental Partners is one of the largest providers of business services to multi-disciplinary dental groups in the United States and is affiliated with more than 25 dental group practices located in 21 states.
Prior to founding ADPI, Mr. Serrao served as the President of National Specialty Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Cardinal Health, Inc. and as Vice President of Corporate Development at Cardinal Health. Greg began his career as an investment banker at Dean Witter Reynolds Inc., where he co-founded the firm’s health care investment banking group and specialized in mergers, acquisitions and public equity offerings.
Greg currently serves on the Dean’s Board of Advisors at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club in Lawrence, MA, and is a member of the Finance Committee for the Town of Andover. Greg holds a B.S. in accounting from New York University.
