Roe Stamps cofounded Summit Partners in 1984. Prior to Summit, he was a General Partner at TA Associates, a Senior Investment Manager at First Chicago Investment Corporation and an Associate with The Palmer Organization.
Roe has served as a director of many public and private companies. His past directorships include AmeriPath (acquired by Quest Diagnostics), Boca Research (NASDAQ: BOCI), First Marketing Company (acquired by Taylor Corporation), Intercommunity Cancer Centers of America (merged with OnCare), Pediatrix Medical Group (NYSE: PDX; later renamed MEDNAX, NYSE: MD), Sunrise Medical and Telebit Corporation.
Roe holds a BS and an MS in industrial engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA, with second-year Honors from Harvard Business School.
Roe is a former Director of the National Venture Capital Association.
