Irem joined Summit Partners in 2019 and focuses primarily on the healthcare sector.
Prior to Summit, Irem worked for McKesson Ventures, where she led investments primarily in value-based care and pharma services. Previously, she worked at Burd Health, where she led the development and implementation of network management, pharmacy benefit management and wellness products for self-insured organizations. Prior to Burd Health, Irem served in product and business development roles with healthcare startups Omada Health and Caremerge. She also held investment roles at Andreessen Horowitz and Madison Dearborn Partners. Irem began her career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group.
She holds a BS in biomedical engineering and economics, magna cum laude, from Duke University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Irem currently serves on the Fund for Elders’ Independence Board of Trustees, a non-profit fundraising organization focused on providing high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly in the Bay Area through the PACE model of care.
