As an Executive-in-Residence at Summit Partners, Brian works alongside Summit’s healthcare & life sciences team to identify new investment opportunities and advise growth stage companies in the life sciences sector.
Brian brings more than 15 years of leadership experience driving product innovation and building and scaling high-growth businesses in the life sciences industry. Most recently, Brian was Executive Director and President of the Genomics Division of LGC, an international life sciences tool company. While at LGC, Brian helped lead the company’s successful sale to Cinven, Astorg and ADIA in early 2020. Prior to LGC, Brian was the President of PerkinElmer’s Life Science and Tools Division, where he managed a global portfolio of products, including instruments, reagents, software and services. Previously, Brian held a variety of leadership positions at other leading life science tools organizations, including Merck Millipore (a division of Merck) and Life Technologies. Prior to joining the life sciences sector, Brian worked as a management consultant for 8 years.
Brian holds a BA in history from the University of Pennsylvania, a BSE in business and managerial economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
