Yuchun Lee joined Summit in 2013 as Executive Advisor. Former CEO of Summit Partners portfolio company Unica Corporation, he is currently Chairman of Clarabridge, a company that Summit backed in September 2013.
Prior to Summit, Yuchun served as Vice President and General Manager of IBM’s Enterprise Marketing Management Group, with a global responsibility focusing on the needs of Chief Marketing Officers. He joined IBM in 2010 as part of its acquisition of Unica, a company that Yuchun cofounded and led to meet the needs of marketers seeking to embrace technology to reach new customers. As Unica’s CEO since its inception in 1992, Yuchun chose Summit as a growth equity partner in 1999. Unica completed an IPO in 2005 (NASDAQ: UNCA), and it became a leading global provider of enterprise marketing management solutions serving more than 1,500 businesses worldwide. In 2010, Unica was acquired by IBM (NYSE: IBM).
Yuchun holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT and an MBA from Babson College.
