Thomas S. Roberts joined Summit Partners in 1989. Prior to Summit he worked as a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.
Based in Summit’s Boston office, Tom is active in the firm’s investment activities in North America, Europe and Asia.
During his 22 years with Summit Partners, Tom has served as a director of more than 30 companies, including seven public companies. He is currently a director of Aurora Diagnostics, B&W TEK, Infor Global Solutions, LiteCure, Tivoli Audio and vente-privee.com. His prior directorships include AmeriPath (NASDAQ: PATH), Fiber Options (acquired by Sentrol Life Safety Systems), Innov-X Systems (acquired by Olympus Corporation), Pacer Electronics (acquired by Anixter International), Rehab Management Services (acquired by Integrated Health Services), Saber Software (NASDAQ: SABR) and Sybari Software (acquired by Microsoft).
Tom received an AB in economics, magna cum laude, from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
Tom is a trustee of the Fessenden School in Newton, Massachusetts and is a long-time youth soccer coach. In addition, he is the New England co-chair of Princeton University’s current capital campaign.
Tom also served for several years as President of the New England Venture Capital Association.
