Ray V. Sozzi joined Summit Partners in 1999. As Executive-in-Residence, Ray spends most of his time mentoring CEOs and portfolio management, consulting on matters such as operational improvements, and advising on general management issues.
Prior to Summit, Ray spent most of his 25-year career as CEO for venture backed companies in demanding environments. He has strong operating credentials as a CEO and general management executive, with a proven track record and extensive experience in emerging high-technology software companies. Of the eight companies he managed as President & CEO, two were public and six were private.
Ray has served as a board member on more than ten companies, is a member of ACG in Boston and New York, and has served on various committees of the National Venture Capital Association.
Ray received a BBA in finance from Iona College and an MBA, with Honors, from Pace University.
